Description

“From the great sedimentary layers of historical documents on New Zealand’s colonisation, Hodgson has extracted a nugget that reveals so much about the nature of interactions between Māori and Pākehā in the earliest stages of settlement.  With great insight, this short work illuminates the significance of this period of contact.” ~ Professor Paul Moon ONZM, historian

This book examines a rare piece of evidence illustrating the initial conditions of the relationship between Māori and missionaries at Kerikeri in 1825.
